Hypnobabies
So a couple of weeks ago I read about Hynobabies, a course that teaches self hypnosis for child birth. I decided to look into it some more and found it very interesting! There were so many great reviews for it on Amazon, on websites, and some really amazing videos on youtube. I've been following the course for 11 days now. I started on Class #3 today because I'm doing a condensed study by spending only 5 days on each class instead of 7. Hynobabies creates a positive outlook on childbirth. It reprograms you to realize that it is natural and healthy part of life and not something to be fearfull about. Because when you're afraid you can tense up and cause pain. It doesn't have to be painful and that is what Hypnobabies helps with. I'm really excited and looking forward to learning all the tools that there are to learn and using it during my birthing time.

Baby's Room (Sneak Peak)
My parents came over this weekend to help us with the house. My mom and I painted the babies room. Three of the walls are a very nice shade of Hello, Yellow! :) And the fourth wall we painted pink and green strips with yellow left in between. I'm excited at how cute its turned out.

Bowling
A couple of weeks back Derek and I enjoyed a date night at the bowling alley. (They have yummy pizza there!) :) We were both horrible the first game. He kicked my butt the second. Only because I'm pregnant tho, I'm sure of it. We'll have to try a rematch after the baby is born.

Buffalo Popcorn
On Sunday when I was home alone not watching the Superbowl I decided I wanted some popcorn. But I wanted to do something different with it. I thought some how making buffalo sauce on popcorn would be delicious. I browsed the web but there aren't too many options. I did however find a recipe that I followed mostly. They added chips and peanuts but I only had popcorn.
Buffalo Popcorn
3 quarts popped Popcorn
2 cups Corn Chips, slightly broken
1 cup Peanuts
1/4 cup Butter or Margarine
2 Tbsp. Louisiana-Style Hot Sauce
1 tsp. Celery Seed
Salt
Combine remaining popcorn with corn chips and peanuts. In small saucepan, melt butter or margarine with hot sauce, celery seed and salt. Pour over popcorn mixture, tossing gently to coat. Spread on l5x10-inch baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes. Remove from baking sheet to large serving bowl. Toss with remaining 2 cups popped corn. Serve immediately or store in airtight container.
Here is where I found the recipe. Lots of other yummy looking popcorn recipes here too.

Oh as suggested in another version of buffalo popcorn I found I left out a couple of cups of popcorn so it could be plain. I think this helped especially since I didn't add the chips or peanuts. Also I didn't add any celery seed.
So basically it was just popcorn, butter, franks red hot, and a little salt. It was delicious. I sprinkled most of it on the popcorn that wasnt set aside and mixed it all up. Then I baked it. Then I combined the unbuffaloed popcorn with the popcorn from the oven which crisped back up after being soaked in buffalo sauce. I sprinkled a little more buff sauce on top of it all and then ate up! Yum yum! :)

Chili & Smoothies!
So we had some steak in the fridge that needed to be cooked so I whipped up a small pot of chili. Turned out delicious! :) Just cut up, browned and seasoned the meat. (seasoned with garlic pepper, cayenne pepper , salt & pepper and a little taco seasoning) Then added 1/2 an onion, red kidney beans, chopped tomatoes. Let it simmer for about 2 hours and voila!! Yummy! :) We had little cups of it and saving the rest for dinner tomorrow!
After that I made a delicious strawberry blueberry smoothie. Derek watched a documentary on Netflix about food so he got the urge to buy a juicer and tons of fruits and veggies. He hasn't juiced anything yet but I've blended some of the fruit into yummy smoothies! :)

Brownie Sundae
Yummy! :) |
So last night I decided to make a brownie sundae out of the last frozen brownie in the freezer. (I had made brownies a while back and we couldn't eat them all so I froze them individually wrapped in tinfoil for just such occasions as this! :) )
I had the fudge brownie warmed up on the bottom, chocolate ice cream, chocolate sauce, whipped cream, some mini chocolate chips and a strawberry on top! Delish! :)
Also apparently Derek did a little shopping last night and picked up the baby a toy. He went to build a bear and made a bunny! So cute!:) So what type of outfit did he pick out you asked? A cute little ballerina outfit? a princess outfit? NOPE! A star wars, Jedi knight outfit! hehehehe its still wicked cute tho! :)
